Reola Fisher

Reola Fisher, 85, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2018 at Liberal Good Samaritan Center in Liberal, Kansas.

She was born July 2, 1932 at McAlester, OK, the daughter of Leonard and Myrtle (Crone) Martin.

She married David James Fisher on March 21, 1953 at Ft. Smith, AR; he preceded her in death on January 27, 1998.

Reola was a graduate of Indinaola High School at Indinaola, OK, class of 1951. Reola and David moved to Liberal in 1955. In 1974 she went to work for Beech Aircraft in the Avionics Dept. until 1983. After leaving Beech she graduated from the Auto Parts Management program from the Liberal Area Votech. In 1985 she went to work as a Teacher’s Aide with USD480 in Liberal, KS from which she retired from in 1999. Reola was an avid reader and sports fan who enjoyed playing Basketball and Softball in her younger years. She was also Softball Coach and Boys Scout Leader for Pack 73 Den 3; liked to go fishing, and loved spending time with her family while supporting her children and grandchildren in all their endeavors. She was a member of the Grace Baptist Temple where she served as Treasurer and Youth Leader.

Her survivors include Three Sons – George Fisher and wife Jacki of Blanchard, OK, Jim Fisher and wife Lori of Wichita, KS, David Fisher and wife Donna of Liberal, KS; One Daughter – Donna Moody and husband Jeff of Turpin, OK; Two Sisters – Lillian Johnson of McAlester, OK, Reta Cannon and husband David of Canadian, OK; 10 Grandchildren and 20 Great Grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.

There will be no public viewing as cremation has taken place.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at the Miller Mortuary Chapel.

The family suggests memorials to Kids Inc. or Liberal Good Samaritan Center in care of Miller Mortuary.
