Reinhardt Oeschger

Reinhardt Oeschger, 12, of Hooker, Oklahoma passed away at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, Kansas.
Reinhardt was born May 5, 2001 in Johannesburg, South Africa, the son of Leon and Renette Joubert Oeschger. On November 18, 2008 he came with his family to Hooker, Oklahoma where he was a 6th grader at Hooker Elementary School.
Reinhardt enjoyed drawing and playing basketball which he played with his team last Saturday. He watched any and all motor sports and could tell you about all of them. He loved animals especially his dogs and had a collection of 600 hot wheels with which he frequently played. He rode his dirt bike and like most young boys enjoyed being on Facebook with his friends and listening to his IPod. His favorite teams where the Dallas Cowboys, the OSU Cowboys and was a member of 4-H. He was a member of the Hooker Church of Christ.
Survivors include his parents, Renette and Pieter Erasmus of the home; his sister Mariska Oeschger of the home; his half brother, Hannes Oeschger of South Africa; grandparents, Malie Joubert, Hannes & Baby Oeschger, Lourens Erasmus all of South Africa.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Friday, February 21, 2014 at the Hooker High School Auditorium with Rev. Jerry Raab officiating. Interment will be in the Hooker Cemetery directed by Roberts Brothers Funeral Home in Hooker, Oklahoma.
