Reiko Hodtwalker

Reiko Hodtwalker, 78, died on Saturday, August 22, 2015, at Southwest Medical Center, Liberal, KS.

The daughter of Hideo & Miyuki Nakamura, she was born March 23, 1937, Fukuoka, Japan. She lived her childhood years in Japan and then she and James Hodtwalker were married 1964 in Fukuoka, Japan, then later divorced.

She and Frosty Sherwood Church were companions for many years. They loved to travel around the United States. He preceded her in death June 2012.

She had been owner and operator the Country Gourmet Restaurant for nearly 10 years. She was known for bierocks and cinnamon rolls.

She enjoyed playing piano, bingo and crochet.

She loved living at Good Samaritan Center; the staff was like a family to her.

Survivors include a daughter, Lina Hill & husband Ryan, Liberal, KS; a grandson, Tracey Hill, Liberal, KS; special friends, Dale & Lila Hill, Cripple Creek, CO and other relatives and friends.

Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at 2PM at Good Samaritan Center, Liberal, KS.

Paul’s Funeral Home, Hugoton is in charge of arrangements.
