Raymond (Ray) Handley

Raymond (Ray) Handley, 90 died Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, KS.
He was born October 13, 1923 at Woodward, OK, the son of August and Florence (Casey) Handley.
He married Frances Flack November 25, 1977 at Clayton, NM. She survives.
Ray attended Woodward High School and was a class of 1941 graduate. He was a Clerk and Heavy Equipment Operator for Panhandle Eastern Pipeline years before retiring in 1985. Ray enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and writing poetry. He was a member of American Legion, VFW and a long time member of the Central Christian Church of Liberal where he served as an Elder and a Deacon.
His survivors include one son: Russell Handley of Amarillo, TX; three step daughters: Catherine Rogers and husband Sandy of Evanston, WY; Claudette Beck and husband Neal of Liberal, KS; Connie Bogle and husband Carl of Latham, KS; one sister: Florence DeWalt of Ft. Worth, TX. 10 Grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son: Ronald Handey, four brothers and one sister.
Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 8:00 PM Tuesday June 10, 2014 at Miller Mortuary.
Funeral Services will be 10:30AM Wednesday June 11, 2014 at Central Christian Church in Liberal, KS with Pastor Chuck Scroggs officiating
The family suggests memorials to Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch or the NRA in care of Miller Mortuary.
