Ray “Biggin” Neal, age 63, of Ulysses, Kansas died Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at Harry Hynes Hospice in Wichita, Kansas. He was born March 27, 1952 in Mammoth Springs, Arkansas, the son of James (Bud) and Faith (Strain) Neal.

Ray grew up in New Mexico and Colorado. He attended high school in Johnson, Kansas. Ray was a truck driver for Tarbet Construction for many years. He married Rhonda Heaton on March 23, 2001 in Ulysses, Kansas. Ray enjoyed guns and spending time with his grandkids.

He is survived by his wife, Rhonda of their home; daughters, Karen Lauppe of Johnson, Kansas, and Kerry Becker of Ulysses, Kansas; brother, Ted Neal of Hickok, Kansas; sister, Nancy Westeman of Wichita, Kansas; seven grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Ray is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Jim Neal; two sisters, Oma Jean Westeman and Edna Mae Hixon; and two grandchildren, Collin Ray Becker and Kylie Jo Becker.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, December 14, 2015 at the Ulysses Cemetery in Ulysses, Kansas with Reverend Sam Bynum officiating. Friends may call from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Sunday, December 13, 2015 at Garnand Funeral Home in Ulysses. Memorial contributions may be given to the Ray Neal Memorial Fund in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 405 W. Grant Ave, Ulysses, KS 67880.
