Randy Lynn Caddell

Joe Denoyer - October 10, 2023 5:29 pm

Randy Lynn Caddell was born on February 10, 1956, to Dillan and Aldene Caddell of Hardesty,OK. Randy received the ultimate healing October 9, 2023, when he crossed to the church triumphant as Jesus called him home.

Randy attended school at the Straight Grade School and graduated from Guymon High School with the class of 1974. He married the love of his life, Vicki Clark on August 4,1974. He later completed his ministerial training through Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary Extension Courses. To this union two sons, Andrew and Adam, were born while Randy was farming with his dad and brother.

Randy was, by nature, a helper. It was no surprise that God placed a call on Randy’s life to serve in ministry. He and his young family served in numerous capacities through music, youth, the pastorate, and culminated in serving the Western Kansas Baptist Association, as Director of Missions. Randy loved the Lord, and he loved the people that the Lord placed in his life. If he had known you his whole life or if he met you 5 minutes ago, he would continue a conversation until he had made a true and lasting connection, and then he would not forget you. If a family member needed help repairing something, he was there. If a new friend needed a minister to perform a wedding, a funeral, a graveside service, he was there. If his grandchildren were participating or performing, he was there. If you called in the middle of the night, he answered. If you called to share good news, he rejoiced. He truly lived to love and serve others and his life reflected that wholeheartedly.

He is survived by his wife, Vicki, of Garden City, KS. His son Andy, wife Joni, and granddaughter MaKenna of Garden City, KS. His son Adam, wife Jessi, and grandsons Drew, Dylan, and Tayton of Boise City, OK. Randy’s siblings: Carole and Charlie Rhoades, Guymon, OK, Amy and Rick Parnell, Pampa, TX, Rick and Crystal Caddell, Norman, OK, Donna Walker, Edmond, OK. His mother-in-law Hobba Masoner, Liberal, KS. Sister- in-law Anita Peterson and husband Kye, Edmond, OK. Brother- in -law Ivan Clark and wife Lorri, Guymon, OK. Numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Dillan and Aldene Caddell. Father – in- law Bud Clark, Brother-in-law Larry Walker. Grandson Andrew Caddell, Junior.
