Randy Allen Edelman

Randy Allen Edelman, age 71, of Rolla, Kansas, passed away on November 29, 2021, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. Randy was born May 5, 1950, in Liberal, Kansas, the son of Alfred and Maxine (Kallenbach) Edelman.

Randy was a member of the 4-H club in Rolla where he attended school and graduated from Rolla High School. Randy attended Kansas State University where he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture. He married Mary Ann Keepers on September 6, 1986 in Rolla. Randy was a farmer, and crop adjuster. He was a member of the Morton County Conservation District Board, KSU Alumni Association, The Rolla COOP Board, and the Rolla Cemetery Board. He was a kind man who would always lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it.

Randy is survived by niece, Tiffani VanVliet and husband Bill and their children who loving called Randy, Grandpa Cowboy, Mariana Tullar and husband AJ, Sadie Paulus and husband Zach, and Allen VanVliet; honorary daughter, Melissa Burrows and husband Rickey and their children, Alexis Hastey, Rickey Burrows, Jr., and Virginia Burrows; nephew Bret Vaughn and wife Trisha and their children, great-niece, Jessie Houston and husband Thomas, Jaden Collins, and Josh Collins, Jr.; great-great-granddaughters, Grace, Susan and Maggie Tullar; brother, Arby (Raymond) Edelman and wife Monon; sister, Alfreda Langley and other family and numerous friends.

Randy is preceded in death by his parents, grandson, William J.M. VanVliet March 22, 2000 and wife, Mary Ann on January 15, 2017.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 8, 2021 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM, and Thursday, December 9, 2021 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM, both at Garnand Funeral Home Chapel in Elkhart, Kansas. Funeral service will be December 10, 2021 at 10:30 AM at Rolla United Methodist Church in Rolla, Kansas with Pastor David Eckert officiating. Memorial contributions may be given to Morton County Conservation District or The Rolla Cemetery in care of Garnand Funeral Home, PO Box 854, Elkhart, KS 67950.
