Randea Kah Frydendall, 74, of Greeley, Colorado passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at Fairacres Manor. She was born on December 12, 1945 in Scott City, Kansas to Earl and Edna (Douglass) Leslie.
On May 2, 1963, she married Jack Frydendall in Scott City, KS. They were married for 56 years. Family was very important to Randea, as she was very involved in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren throughout the years.
Jack and Randea moved to Meade, KS in 1972 where they raised their 5 children, she worked in the kitchen at the grade school and high school where she was “MOM” to every child she met. She was also very involved in the Lutheran church in Meade. In 1985 they moved to Liberal, KS. During her years she was able to stay home she was her grandchildren’s caregiver until they went to school; she also gave her time to Grace Lutheran Church. Jack and Randea moved to Greeley CO in 2010. She welcomed so many people into her home to show them her love, patience, understanding, cooking skills, and sense of humor!
Randea is survived by her husband, Jack; children, Tab (Dee Ann) of Forgan, Oklahoma, Staci (Greg) Venegas of Greeley, Chanelle Frydendall of Liberal, Kansas, Katrina (Rob) Lauppe of Meade, Kansas and Darby (Sandy) Frydendall of Meade and her adopted daughter, Makinna (Wedo) Trujillo of Evans, Colorado and their children, Clara, Emery and Avery; Grandchildren are Trista (Jared) Ells of Evans and their sons, Kyson, Kash and Karter, Brandon Frydendall of Leavenworth, Kansas and his daughter, Matilda, Trevin Marrs of Greeley and his children, Cameron and Camden, Josh Frydendall of Great Bend, Kansas and his son, Kwenton, Erica (DJ) Threatt of Meade, Kansas and their daughters, Aaliyah and Lundyn, Becca (Brian) Shade of Liberal, Kansas and their daughter, Madeline, Trevor Frydendall of Forgan and his children, Zane and Jara, Alexa Lauppe of Greeley and her son, Ryder, and Blake Frydendall of Meade. She is also survived by her brother Forrest “Ben” Schwatken of Tempe, AZ.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Patty Eaton.
She was loved by many and will truly be missed.
A memorial service will be held in the summer at Grace Lutheran Church in Liberal.
