Rachel Straub: UPDATE

Rachel Straub, age 30, of Ulysses, Kansas died Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital in Ulysses, Kansas. She was born September 7, 1983 in Garden City, Kansas, the daughter of John and DeLynn (Moore) Longfellow.
Rachel grew up in McCook, Nebraska, Salina and Ulysses, Kansas. She attended school in Ulysses beginning her seventh grade year. She was a CNA and CMA in area care homes and hospitals including Scott City, Leoti, Pratt, Hugoton and Ulysses. Rachel married Travis Straub on March 22, 2003 in Ulysses, Kansas. She was a vivacious person who loved to meet new people. She was a joy to be around, and had many friends. Rachel had an extensive doll collection.
She is survived by her husband, Travis of their home; two sons, Ty and Troy of the home; one daughter, Rashawna of the home; parents, John and Delynn Longfellow of Ulysses, Kansas; brother, Cayden Longfellow of Ulysses, Kansas; sisters, Wendy Snook and husband Jason of Charleston, South Carolina, Jennifer Costner and husband Justin of Guymon, Oklahoma; and grandparents, Lewis and Margie Moore of Ulysses, Kansas, and Jack Longfellow of Peru, Nebraska.
She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Camilla Longfellow.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Ulysses, Kansas with Bishop Carl Egley presiding. Interment will follow at the Ulysses Cemetery in Ulysses, Kansas. Friends may call Friday, November 29, 2013 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Garnand Funeral Home in Ulysses, Kansas and from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Ulysses. Memorial contributions may be given in lieu of flowers to the Rachel Straub Memorial Fund in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 405 W. Grant Ave, Ulysses, KS 67880.
