Purification “Puri” Gonzalez Cobollo de Plett

Purification “Puri” Gonzalez Cobollo de Plett, a spirited wife, homemaker and cherished matriarch, passed away on December 17, 2024, at the remarkable age of 91.

She was born on April 28, 1933, in Madrid, Spain, to Enrique Gonzalez Melendez and Esperanza Cobollo Augusto. Puri was united in marriage to Leo Von Plett on October 12, 1976, in Turpin, Oklahoma. Leo preceded her in death on December 11, 2014, and her daughter, Ann Marie Pierce died on November 23, 2020.

Puri was not only a wife, and homemaker but also a Flamenco dancer. She enjoyed taking to the skies with her husband to visit loved ones. She was feisty and full of life even in her later years. Her love for gardening and landscaping was a testament to her nurturing nature. She was known for her ability to confront any snakes that wandered into her domain—an amusing yet admirable trait that her loved ones remember fondly.

Puri’s devotion extended to her beloved dog, Shadow, who brought her joy and companionship. She had a wonderful sense of humor, with an endless repertoire of jokes that could light up any room. Whether in laughter or in love, Puri found a way to make everyone feel special, often finding ways to help those around her. Puri Plett will be profoundly missed, but her impact on our hearts will resonate throughout our lives.
