Phyllis Jean Carlisle, age 89, died Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, Kansas.

 

She was born on April 1, 1931, the daughter of Paul J. and Clara J. Eggers Urbanek in Hutchinson, Kansas.

 

Phyllis grew up in Holyrood, Kansas and graduated high school from there in 1949.

 

She spent her time reading psychic books and saw the spirits of Jim Mouser, her companion since 1989, and her dog Sharky after their death.

 

She worked as a food server for USD480 for many years and was a member of the Presbyterian Church.

 

Survived by

Her daughter, Angela K. Carlisle of Albuquerque, New Mexico

Her sister, Bernadine Richert of Atwater, California

 

Preceded in death by

Both her parents, Paul J. and Clara J. Urbanek and

Her companion, Jim Mouser

 

There will be no service as cremation has taken place.

 

Memorial contributions are suggested to the First Presbyterian Church of Liberal.
