Philip Herb Penner, 78, Liberal, Kansas, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2022, at the Wheatridge Park Care Center after a long battle with cancer.
He was born December 14, 1943, to Herbert and Sara Penner, Turpin, Oklahoma.
Philip attended Turpin Elementary and Turpin High School. He was baptized on his confession of faith in Jesus Christ at the Turpin Methodist Church.
He was a successful farmer and enjoyed music, car racing and autobody work.
Philip is survived by his sister, Sharon Orenne Friesen and her husband, Alan Dale Friesen, Calgary, Alberta, Canada; two nephews, Scott Alan Friesen, Boston, Massachusetts, and Shaun Bryan Friesen and his wife, Christel Lee Friesen, Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and many cousins and friends.
Philip was preceded in death by his parents.
Viewing will be 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 1, 2022 at Miller Mortuary.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 2, 2022 at the Miller Mortuary Chapel.
Following the service, interment will be in the Liberal Cemetery.
