Pearl Fowler

Pearl Fowler, 88, died Friday June 27, 2014 at Liberal Good Samaritan Center in Liberal, KS.

She was born November 29, 1925 at Barry, MO, the daughter of John Henry and Sarah Jane Branstetter.

She married Calvin L. Fowler on February 23, 1945 at Berryville, AR. He preceded her in death on November 22, 2004.

She and Calvin moved to Liberal in 1963 where she was a loving homemaker and wonderful caregiver. During the mid 1960’s to mid 1970’s she was an Independent Avon Rep. She and her son David had a dog breeding business for a number of years. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and was a member of First Southern Baptist Church of Liberal since 1964. One of Pearl’s proudest achievements was obtaining her GED in 1993.

She is survived by three sons: David Fowler of Liberal, KS; Brian Fowler of Liberal, KS and Tim Fowler and wife Arla. One sister: Norma Asher of Caslteville, MO; four grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and three step great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and three sisters.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday July 1, 2014 at the Liberal Good Samaritan Center Chapel.

A Graveside Service will be 1:00 PM Tuesday July 1, 2014 at the Liberal City Cemetery.
