Pauline Unruh

Pauline Unruh, age 79, died Monday, October 24, 2016, at The Legacy at Park View in Ulysses, Kansas. She was born March 1, 1937, in Montezuma, Kansas the daughter of Clarence and LaFina (Schmidt) Schmidt.

Pauline married Charles Unruh in May 1957 in Montezuma, Kansas. They moved to the Ulysses area in 1957 and later moved to town. She was a homemaker, and cleaned at the Ulysses Post Office for many years. Pauline was a member of the Grant Mennonite Church. She enjoyed cooking, embroidery work, serving her church, and family.

Survivors include her husband, Charles of their home; children, Wanda Unruh of Garden City, Kansas, Chris Unruh of Holcomb, Kansas, Valerie Jones of Collinsville, Oklahoma; brothers, Glen Schmidt of Hesston, Kansas, Harold Schmidt of Mississippi, Howard Schmidt of Montezuma, Kansas; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. 

Pauline is preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Doris, Ruth and Jeanie; and two brothers, Clifford and William.

Funeral service will be Thursday, October 27, 2016, at 10:30 AM at Grant Mennonite Church in Ulysses. Interment will follow at Grant Mennonite Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday, October 26, 2016, from noon until 4:30 PM at Garnand Funeral Home in Ulysses. Memorial may be given to The Legacy at Park View in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 405 W. Grant Ave, Ulysses, KS 67880.
