Pauline Peterson

Pauline Peterson, age 92, of Johnson, Kansas died Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Hamilton County Hospital in Syracuse, Kansas. She was born August 5, 1922 in Gray County, Kansas, the daughter of Harry and Jeanie (Wilson) Jacques.
Pauline grew up in Greeley County, Kansas. She attended school and graduated from Greely County High School. She continued her education at Dodge City Community College. Pauline married Charles R. Peterson on August 16, 1942. She was a homemaker and farm wife. She loved the land and wheat. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, growing flowers and tomatoes, playing cards, and was an avid KU basketball fan.
She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Hinton-Walker and husband John of Potomac, Maryland, and Janet Thomeczek and husband Tommy of Syracuse, Kansas; one brother, Denton (Bud) Jacques of Chicago, Illinois; two sisters, Betty Bailey of Cimarron, Kansas, and Alice Wagner of Scotts Bluff, Nebraska; six grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles in 1993; son and daughter-in-law, Michael James Peterson and wife Sally; daughter, Candace Jean Peterson; brother, Don Jacques; and sisters, Irene Hunt and Ethel Stotts.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at the Fields Memorial Wesleyan Church in Johnson, Kansas with Pastor Kurt Rovenstine officiating. Interment will follow at the Stanton County Cemetery in Johnson. Friends may call from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, March 30, 2015 at Garnand Funeral Home in Johnson.
