Paula Estelle Brooks, 64, of Hooker, Oklahoma was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on June 3, 2022.

Paula was born July 19,1957 to Travis and Adriene Walker in Fairfield, California. She and her family lived in California before settling in the Oklahoma panhandle. Paula graduated from Hooker High School with the Class of 1975.

She married her first love, John Miller, and raised their three children, Brandon, J.J., and Chelsi in Hooker. She always had a strong work ethic and held several positions within the community until becoming a full-time homemaker.

Paula entered marriage with her soul mate, Trent Brooks, on June 16, 2012. Paula and Trent spent their days enjoying cookouts, celebrating their children and grandchildren, gardening and spoiling their dog, Maggie.

Paula was a beacon of warmth and love to all those who knew her. With a kind, but feisty spirit, Paula leaves an everlasting mark on the hearts of her friends and family. She was a prayer warrior for all who were in need, with the voice of an angel.

Paula knew the importance of faith and her relationship with God. She also made sure it was woven into the fabric of her family. Paula was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Hooker where she enjoyed attending Bible study and worship.

She is preceded in death by her father, Travis Walker, mother, Adriene Malone, brother, Mitch Walker, sister, Shannon Gilkey and daughter, Stevie Nicole.

Paula leaves behind her mother, Barbara Walker, loving husband, Trent Brooks, two sons, Brandon Miller and JJ Miller, daughter, Chelsi Hedrick and husband, Kaleb, three stepsons, Jesse Brooks, Jeremy Brooks and wife, Sarah, Tony Brooks, two brothers, Mike Walker, Neil Williams and wife, Sonya, two sisters, Clista Fish and Sharon Gorman, and thirteen grandchildren, Jonathan, Jacob, Hayden, Logan, Skyler, McKenzie, Sophia, Ashlynn, Malia, James, Henry, Jonni Rose and Leia.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 6, 2022, at the First Baptist Church in Hooker, Oklahoma with Pastor Mike McReynolds officiating. Interment will be in the Hooker Cemetery directed by Roberts Brothers Funeral Home in Hooker, Oklahoma.
