Joe Denoyer - July 2, 2020 4:41 am

Paul Jackson Lusk was born February 25, 1933 to William L. and Gladys H. (Higgins) Lusk in Ninaview, CO.

He married Esther Juanita Marquez of Syracuse, KS in Clayton, NM on October 25, 1953. Soon after marriage he served his country as a Corporal in the Army during the Korean Conflict from 1953 – 1955. After returning home they were blessed with 3 daughters: Sonya, Lori and Laura.

His jobs consisted of working as a ranch hand and ending up as a foreman of highway construction in Kansas. He enjoyed fishing, tinkering with motorcycles, vehicles, mowers, etc. He enjoyed going to the coffee shop and being around people. His laughter was infectious to everyone around him. He enjoyed being around his church family, his own family and grandchildren. He was baptized in the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn in 1975. Paul and Esther moved to many places while he was in highway construction, until 1982 when they finally settled in their present home in Beaver, OK after Paul suffered a massive stroke which paralyzed his right side and altered his speech, he then had to learn to walk and talk again. His speech and walking was altered from the stroke but it did not slow him down as he lived his life not only following the Word of God but living by it with true grit and determination.

Paul went to see the Lord on June 30, 2020, surrounded by his family and his little dog Jackson by his side.

He was preceded in death by his wife Esther of 66 years and his parents; William L. and Gladys H. Lusk; and his 5 sisters: Reecey, Essie, Florence and Alice, a baby sister and 7 brothers: Levi, Lloyd, Jim, Carl Joe, David Lee, Bob and Oliver.
