Patrick Cruth, age 59, beloved son of the late Milford Cruth and Martha Louise (Barnes) Cruth of Lafayette, Louisiana, born in Hugoton, Kansas on May 2, 1957, died there August 30, 2016.
Pat grew up in Hugoton and graduated from Hugoton High School. He furthered his education by attending Liberal Area Vo-Tech. Pat then drove truck cross-country. He and Ron Heger owned and operated Wild West Transportation for many years, he then drove truck for DillCo Fluid Services. Pat worked for Paramount Service & Supply Company as a parts manager, which he loved. He was a very active and devoted member of The Dust Bowl Riders, and was always willing to lend a hand. He loved his motorcycles and working on them in his shop, Bikestreet Bikeworks. Pat was a devoted and faithful dad. He loved his girls and was always there for them. He was a proud and doting Papa to his grandson.
He is survived by his mother, Martha Cruth of Lafayette, Louisiana; brother, Jim Cruth and wife Judy of Crowley, Lousiana; sister, Pamela Chaffin and husband Bert of Buhler, Kansas; daughters, Destinie Murray of Hugoton, Kansas, Kasaundra Miles of Hugoton, Kansas, and Raylene Pierce of Hugoton, Kansas; aunts and uncles, Donna and Leonard Barnes of Dodge City, Kansas, Lawrence and Bernice Barnes of Ellinwood, Kansas; many cousins, Tom & David, Jim & Joe, Jill Klyne, Audrey & Amanda Barnes, and Cruth cousins, Steve of Ulysses, Kansas, Connie and Judy of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Lynn and Dianna of Austin, Texas; nieces, Sara Cruth, Angie Weesner, and Adriann Baldwin; and grandson, Caleb Murray.
Patrick was preceded in death by his father, Milford; grandparents, Nelson and Clara Cruth, and Jim and Inez Barnes.
Memorial service will be held in the spring in the Colorado Mountains. Memorial contributions may be given to the Dust Bowl Riders in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 423 S Main, Hugoton, KS 67951.
