Patricia Lea Feezor, age 81, died Saturday, June 15, 2024, at her home in Ulysses, Kansas. She was born July 27, 1942, in Cheyenne Wells, Colorado, the daughter of Russell and Mary Lou (Johnson) Ryser.

Pat grew up in Cheyenne Wells and graduated from Cheyenne Wells High School. She then furthered her education at Fort Hays State University where she obtained a bachelor’s degree. Pat taught school for one year in Hugoton after marrying Marvin Feezor on September 7, 1963, in Cheyenne Wells. They were happily married for 61 years. She was the office manager and co-owner with her husband, of Satanta Lumber Company, Sublette Furniture Store and in 1993 they moved to Ulysses and started Ulysses Building Supply. In her free time, Pat was an avid quilter, belonging to a quilting guild, an active member of the Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, and enjoyed traveling. She and Marvin had the opportunity to travel to many countries and most of the United States. They built a cabin in New Mexico, where they made many fond memories. Pat’s greatest joy was her grandchildren and great-grandson, and she thoroughly enjoyed the time she spent with them. Pat was also a member of the Satanta Arts Council and St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Garden City.

Pat is survived by her husband, Marvin, of their home; son, Eric Feezor and wife, Holly, of Ulysses; daughter, Karla Hennebold and husband, Jon, of North Plains, Oregon; brothers, Randy Ryser and wife, Shirley, of McCook, Nebraska, and Kelly Ryser and wife, Karen, of Hays, Kansas; sister, Carmen Medina and husband, Jess, of Kyle, Texas; and her four adored grandchildren, Andrea Feezor, Nick Feezor, Ben Hennebold and Amelia Henelbold; great-grandson, Levi Hennebold; and nieces and nephews.

Pat is preceded in death by her parents, and sisters, Dana Gerstner and Vicki Kirby.

A memorial service will be Thursday, June 20, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Garnand Funeral Home Chapel in Ulysses with The Reverend Canon Cameron Randle officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Ulysses Cemetery. Visitation, with family present, will be Wednesday, June 19, 2024, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Garnand Funeral Home in Ulysses.
