Olive “Ogg” Tribble

Olive “Ogg” Tribble age 90, of Elkhart, Kansas died August 25, 2015 at Morton County Hospital, Elkhart, Kansas. She was born September 22, 1924 at Elkhart, Kansas the daughter of O.H. and Myrtie Melinda (Cook) Emberton.
Ogg graduated from Elkhart High School in 1942 and was a lifelong resident of Elkhart. For many years she worked at Tebow Drugstore and later became the Water Clerk for the City of Elkhart until her retirement. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, Order of the Eastern Star and a Mother Advisor for the Rainbow Girl Scouts. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and later a member of Hillcrest Southern Baptist Church both at Elkhart, Kansas. She loved reading, her friends and especially her grandchildren.
On April 16, 1976 she married Vern Tribble; he preceded her in death in 1995.
Survivors include her daughter, Susan Mitchell and husband Tony of Lawrence, Kansas; grandson, Shane Willimon and wife Jeannie; great-grandsons, Blake and Sean-Michael Willimon of Austin, Texas; nieces and nephews, Monzelle, VonCeil, and Michelle Emberton, Wes, Daryl and Linda Heinlein; step-sons, Rex Tribble and wife Patty and Byron Tribble all of Ponca City, Oklahoma; step-daughter- in-law, Ida Tribble of Seattle, Washington; step-grandchildren, James, Russ and Chris Mitchell, and Chelsie and Jason Sledge; step-great-grandson, Garrett.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and infant sister; sister, Mills Ellis Hollis; brothers, Jack Emberton and Ted Emberton; grandson, Sean Willimon; and a nephew, Rod Hollis.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, August 29, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Southern Baptist Church, Elkhart, Kansas with Reverend Terrell Giddens officiating. Burial will follow at the Elkhart Cemetery, Elkhart, Kansas. Friends may call from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, August 28, 2015 at Garnand Funeral Home, Elkhart, Kansas.
