Oletha P. Moody

Oletha P. Moody, age 86, died Monday, January 12, 2015 at Wheatridge Park Care Center in Liberal, KS. She born at the farm home in Beaver County, OK on August 13, 1928, the daughter of Glen and Leola (Ingraham) Monroe.
She attended Greenough High School, in Beaver County, OK, graduating in 1946. She married Raymond Becker on July 26, 1946. On December 4, 1964 she was united in marriage to William K. “Bill” Moody, at the First Baptist Church in Forgan, Ok. He died on February 12, 2014.
She was co-owner of Liberal Vacuum Service for 26 years. She worked as a bookkeeper for First National Oil Company, worked at the Good Samaritan Society of Liberal and an office clerk for Carlile Asphalt.
Oletha was a member of First Southern Baptist Church and she was very active in the church. She was a member of Southwest Medical Center Auxiliary, as long as her health permitted. She was a past president of Liberal Desk and Derrick Club and a past treasurer of the Seward County March of Dimes.
Survivors include:
1 Son Jerry Becker and wife Mary of Topeka, KS
4 Grandchildren Mischa Becker, Raphen Becker, Joanna Becker and Jennie Kelly,
3 Great Grandchildren,
3 Nieces and 1 Nephew.
She was preceded in death by 1 Brother Raymond Monroe and 1 Sister Roberta Durbin.
Funeral service will 10:00 am Monday, January 19, 2015 at First Southern Baptist Church with Pastor Jack Jacob presiding. Burial will be at the Liberal Cemetery, Liberal, KS.
Visitation will be 1 – 5 pm Sunday with the family present to greet friends from 3 – 5 pm at Brenneman Funeral Home.
