Norma N. Klotz, age 85, passed away early Friday morning, January 13, 2023, at her Meade, Kansas, residence.

She was born September 14, 1937, at Lakin, Kansas, the daughter of Earnest and Otela “Dolly” (Schaffer) Jenks. As a young girl, she attended school in Lakin, graduating from Lakin High School. A longtime resident of Meade, she had worked as a waitress and at the Meade Thriftway for several years.

She enjoyed sewing, going to antique stores, attending garage sales, shopping, playing BINGO, visiting with people, and spending time with her family.

On May 31, 1958, she married Raymond E. Klotz at Lakin, Kansas. He precedes her in death on May 29, 2021.

She is survived by two sons, Max Klotz of Dodge City, Kansas, and Earnest Klotz of Hutchinson, Kansas; two daughters, Kim Grund of Dodge City, Kansas, and Susan Klotz of Kinsley, Kansas; sixteen grandchildren, including Sadie, Lacey, Lyndsey, and Eric that she and her husband raised; twenty-six great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; and three brothers, Glenn, Harry, and Max Jenks.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 16, 2023, at Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Englewood Cemetery, Englewood, Kansas.
