Norma F. Langford, age 90, passed away Sunday morning, August 7, 2022, at her Meade residence.
She was born August 2, 1932, in rural Meade County, Kansas, the daughter of Robert Frank and Minnie Elizabeth (Murphy) Butler. As a young girl, she attended school in Meade, graduating from Meade High School in 1951. A lifetime resident of Meade, she was a bank teller for the First National Bank that later became the Meade State Bank.
She was a member of Saint John Lutheran Church.
On November 26, 1951, she married Sidney C. Langford at Oxford, Mississippi. He precedes her in death on June 22, 2010.
She is survived by her children, Deidre Stafford of Kansas City, Kansas, and Rjay Langford and wife Danette of Meade; three brothers, Norman Butler of Benton, Kansas, Marion Butler of Rolla, Missouri, and Marvin Butler of Springfield, Missouri; five grandchildren, Kinzie, KeAnne, Karalee, Jamie, and Jennie; and two great-grandchildren, Blake and Jaxson.
She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; a son-in-law, John Stafford; three brothers, Curtis Butler, Robert Butler, and George Butler; two sisters, Marvina Butler and Edith Ayotte; and a great-grandson Dalton Baker.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 12, 2022, at the Graceland Cemetery, Meade. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Thursday at Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade. The casket will remain closed.
The family would welcome memorials to the Lutheran Social Services or St. John Lutheran Church in care of the funeral home.
