Joe Denoyer - February 28, 2024 7:48 am
Nikki Aspen Broadbent, 22, became an Angel, passing away peacefully February 26, 2024, at the Oklahoma Heart Hospital due to heart complications.
Nikki was born September 12, 2001, in Liberal, Kansas, the daughter of Richard Calvin and Tamba Jo Stroud Broadbent. Big Bro Jake was holding her shortly after she was born. Jake played with her, protected her and picked on her constantly.
At three weeks old she was brought to their new home right across the street from pre-k where she would start school.
Nikki was part of the graduation class whose senior year activities like prom, Sr. dinners and Sr. pranks were all cancelled in March because of COVID. They finished out their senior year on zoom and google sheets. Thanks to Mr. Faulkner, Mr. Stalder and Mrs. Cathcart, the class was able to come together again on June 20, 2022, for graduation on the football field.
Nikki worked hard in school, being able to read 150 words before kindergarten and making the principal’s honor roll several times. She loved singing in music class and the trips for competition. Nikki was extremely shy bet thanks to her great friends, Kinsey, Jordan, Grace, and Taelor she came out of her shell and truly enjoyed school with her other classmates. The superintendent, principals, counselor, and numerous teachers helped in making her a smart and funny young lady. They became close to making them lifelong friends, she enjoyed making them crafts and goodies to surprise them.
She enjoyed sewing, pranks, painting, crafts, cooking, and baking with her shining smile walking and playing with her dog Shazam, along with playing in our backyard. She loved picking on her brother, Mr. Stalder and Mr. Davis.
Greeting Nikki into Heaven are her dad Rick, grandparents George and Elizabeth Broadbent, Francis and Leona Stroud, uncles Miles Blankenship, Dave Robinson, and her pets Roscoe, Kugo, Pumpkin, Ziva, JuJu and Lucky.
Leaving heartbroken on earth are her mom Tammy, Big Bro Jake, Aunt Linda, Aunt Brenda, cousins Justin, J.D., Eve, Danielle, Audrey, Bradley, and numerous friends.
Love you bunches forever!
