Nick A. Finke

MEADE – Nick A. Finke, age 21, passed away early Tuesday morning, June 26, 2018, in rural Meade County, Kansas, as the result of an automobile accident.
He was born January 29, 1997, at Dodge City, Kansas, the son of Kelly Finke and Sarah Lewis. As a young boy he attended Meade schools, graduating from Meade High School in 2015. After his graduation, he was currently attending Manhattan Technical School, Manhattan.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church, the National Rifle Association, and a former member of the Meade Buffaloes football team. He enjoyed riding his dirt bike, farming, riding his horse, fishing, building various items, sampling different sweet treats followed with a Pepsi, spending time with his dog “Cooper,” family and friends.
He is survived by his father Kelly Finke and wife Janet of Minneola, Kansas; mother Sara Lewis of Meade and special friend Tony Luna; sisters, Taylor Finke of Manhattan, Keelan Finke and Carson Finke of Minneola; adopted sister, Haticia Oezdemir of Germanyuncles and aunts, Brain Finke and Lori of Fowler, Todd Lewis and Brenda of rural Fowler, Mary Krisel and Kurtis of Minneola, and Laura Lewis of rural Meade; grandmother, Ardith Lewis of rural Fowler; and great-grandmother, Marie Bayha of Meade.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Monte Finke, Thelma Finke, and Ronald Lewis.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 29, 2018, at the United Methodist Church, Meade. Cremation has taken place and private family interment will follow at a later date in the Fowler Cemetery.
