Nathaniel Garro Rivera, age 5, died Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, Kansas.
He was born on March 7, 2016, the son of Marcus Anthony Rivera and Guadalupe Trejo.
Nathaniel played Kids Inc Flag Football and enjoyed learning about ships, especially about the Titanic, the Britannica, Hospital Ships, Aircraft Carriers, and Battleships. Nathaniel loved driving tractors and semi-trucks with both his grandpa’s. He enjoyed spending time with his cousins and loved his baby brother, Samuel.
He is survived by both his parents, Marcus Rivera and Guadalupe Trejo, his brother, Samuel, his grandparents, Margarita and Jose Luis Trejo, and Virginia Rivera and Joe Sandoval, his great grandparents, Martina and Jose Sandoval.
Visitation will be from 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM, Sunday, November 21, 2021, at the Hornung Family Funeral Home, 1212 W. 2nd Street, Liberal, Kansas.
Rosary will be at 7:00 PM, Sunday, November 21, 2021, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1510 N. Calhoun, Liberal, Kansas
Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM, Monday, November 22, 2021, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1510 N. Calhoun, Liberal, Kansas with Rev. Juan Salas presiding.
Graveside Service to follow at Liberal Cemetery.
