Nancy Ellen Josserand

Nancy Ellen Josserand, 78, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 13, 2013 at Harry Hynes Hospice in Wichita, Kansas. She was surrounded by her beloved husband of 60 years, her children and grandchildren. Nancy was born in Garden City, Kansas November 24, 1934 to Walter Edward and Edith (Scott) Daniels.
She spent her early childhood years in California and in 1946 her family returned to Stanton County where she graduated from Johnson High School in 1952. On January 2, 1953, she married O.W. Josserand in Clayton, New Mexico. He survives. Nancy will be remembered as a loving caring person who always put others before herself. She devoted her life to her family and witnessed her faith to all who were privileged to know her. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Johnson and the Dust Bowl Ladies VFW Auxiliary.
Other survivors include four children, Cheryl and Troy Adams of Johnson, Ellen and Monty Marlin of Sublette, Jan and Steve Lindner of Rose Hill, and Steven and Larilee Josserand of Garden City; one brother, Daryl and Sally Daniels; one sister-in-law, Barbra Maerz; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Leland.
A celebration of her life will begin at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church in Johnson, Kansas with Reverend Janet Hernandez officiating. Interment will follow at the Stanton County Cemetery in Johnson, Kansas. Friends may call from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at Garnand Funeral Home in Johnson.
