Mildred Maxine Langley

Mildred Maxine Langley 100, died, Friday, December 28, 2012 at Wheatridge Park Care Center in Liberal.
She was born December 31, 1911 at Logan, Kansas the daughter of George Orville and Stella Ella (Whitson) Flowers.
She has been a longtime Liberal resident moving to Liberal in 1959. She was employed at C.R. Anthony’s; Dobsons Department Store; and Kelly’s Men’s Wear. She did alterations for Kelly’s Men’s Wear for seventeen year. She was a seamstress and loved to crochet.
She was a member of the Church of Christ in Canadian, Texas.
On January 19, 1929 she married Daniel Edward Bachmann in Cheyenne, OK. He died April 18, 1955. On August 5, 1961 she married Reece W. Langley in Copeland, KS. He died October 9, 1993.
Survivors include
1 Son Jerry Langley and wife Twila Wichita, KS
1 Daughter Judy Smith and husband Wally Guymon, KS
Great Niece Sherry Helmke Liberal, KS and many other nieces and nephews.
4 Grandchildren Derwin Langley, Kenneth Langley, Troy Smith and Beth Thayer and husband Clark.
8 Great grandchildren. 4 Great Great grandchildren 2 Great Great Great grandchildren
Preceded in death by parents, 3 brothers Melvin, Clyde and Orvalle “Bill” Flowers and 5 sisters Mamie Flowers, Eva Julian, Rachel Averill, Wilma Mills and Doris Chumbley
Graveside service will be held at 10:00 am Monday, December 31, 2012 at Restlawn Cemetery with Pastor Arlen Ankle presiding.
Visitation time will be held 1- 5am Sunday at Brenneman Funeral Home.
