Matthew Aaron Bandt

Matthew Aaron Bandt, age 32, died Monday, July 10, 2023, at KU Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas.

He was born on July 7, 1991, in Bangor, Washington, to Harlan Bandt and Yolanda Chapa.

After getting his GED Matthew worked as a cook for Cracker Barrel Old Country Store. He was always smiling and enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. Matthew saved three lives by donating his organs. He was deeply loved and will be sorely missed by all his friends and family.

He is survived by:
his mother, Yolanda Bandt, stepfather, David Luebbers,
father, Harlan Bandt,
Two brothers, Joshua Bandt of Dodge City, Kansas, and Dustin Luebbers (Teressa) of Richmond, Virginia, and one stepbrother, Tyler Pinley of Manhattan, Kansas.
One sister, Elizabeth Luebbers (Robert Fichtner) of Wichita, Kansas, and one stepsister, Chantel Luebbers of Jacksonville, Florida.

Visitation will be from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday, July 17, 2023, at the Hornung Family Funeral Home, 1212 W 2nd Street, Liberal, Kansas.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at the Hornung Family Funeral Home, 1212 W 2nd Street, Liberal, Kansas. Service will be celebrated by Reverend Augustine Owusu.

A burial will follow at Liberal Cemetery.
