Mary Frances Young

Mary Frances Young, 74, of Canton, Oklahoma, died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015 at Okeene Hospital in Okeene, Okla.

Mary was born July 12, 1940 in Rutland, Vermont, the daughter of William Stewart and Martha (King) Stewart.

She married Jack E. Young on March 14, 1980 in Guymon, Okla. He preceded her in death in 2006.

Survivors include daughter, Cheryl Prouty, Canton, Okla.; son, Doug LaFreniere and wife, Karen, Liberal; eight grandchildren: Steven Prouty, Watonga, Okla., Jason Prouty, Stephanie Prouty, Fairview, Okla., Heather Prouty, Wichita, Chelsea Jandrakovic and husband, Evan, Richmond, N.C., Jaden Prouty, Wichta, Austin LaFreniere, Lubbock, Texas and Hope LaFreniere, Amarillo, Texas; great-grandchildren: William Prouty, Tanita Prouty, Michael Buckmaster, Matilda Prouty, Gianna Jandrakovic and Kage Jandrakovic.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and sons, Billy LaFreniere and Chester Prouty.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 13, 2015 at the South Lutheran Cemetery near Hooker, Oklahoma.

Cremation has taken place.
