Mary Elvira Hernandez, 69, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2021, at her residence.
She was born to Pedro G. and Dominga A. (Medina) Hernandez, La Junta, Colorado.
Mary lived most her life in Leoti, Kansas. She enjoyed coloring, Lincoln logs and clicking lego. She loved to go to the casino to watch people and play the game machines. She loved her family and enjoyed when they would stop by and see her. Her favorite food was a cheeseburger and fries.
Survivors include brothers, Carmen Hernandez and wife Mary, Ordway, CO., Lupe Hernandez, Plains, KS., Raymond Hernandez and wife Donna, Deerfield, KS.; sisters, Bertha McGann, Palco, KS., Connie Maturey and husband JR, Satanta, KS., Theresa Torres and husband Roy, Leoti, KS., Rosario Klar and husband Paul, Broadus, MT., Anderea Gerstberger and husband Dale, Moffat, CO. and other relatives and friends.
Mary was preceded in death by parents, brother, Tony Hernandez, Nick Hernandez, Paul Hernandez and sister, Josephine Martinez.
A memorial has been established for St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Hospice of Prairie and Satanta Alumni. Memorials may be mailed to Robson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 747, Satanta, KS 67870.
Private vigil service and funeral mass service will be held Tuesday, February 9, 2021, 1:30 P.M. at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Satanta, KS.
Public graveside at 3 P.M., Dudley Township Cemetery, Satanta.
Friends may call Monday, February 8, 2021, 2 P.M. to 7 P.M. at Robson Funeral Home, Satanta. The Family will receive friends and family from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at Robson Funeral Home, Satanta.
Due to CDC and Kansas Health Department recommendations masks will be required at services.
