Marvin Javier Hernandez, age 44, of San Francisco, California, died Tuesday, June 1, 2021, in Stanislaus County, California. He was born January 10, 1977, in Honduras the son of Camila Hernandez.

Marvin grew up in Honduras and has lived the last 23 years in California. He married Shelby Cockrum on January 22, 2012, in San Francisco. Marvin previously worked in construction and enjoyed the painting aspect of the job; and was currently an Uber driver. He enjoyed driving, and watching the soccer World’s Cup games. Marvin loved being an uncle and was committed to his faith.

He is survived by his wife, Shelby Hernandez of Johnson, Kansas; mother, Camila Hernandez of Honduras; three brothers, Salvador Osorio, Miguel Osorio, and Walter Castillo all of Los Angeles, California; three sisters, Jessyca Silva of San Francisco, California, Ojana Castillo of Los Angeles, California, and Lfeli Castillo of Honduras. 

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at Victory Apostolic Church in Johnson, Kansas, with Reverend Henry Buczynski officiating. Interment will follow at Stanton County Cemetery in Johnson. Visitation is 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM Monday, June 21, 2021, at Garnand Funeral Home in Johnson.
