Mark Steven Lee, age 66, died Saturday, October 5, 2019, at his home in Morton County, Kansas. He was born to Henry Mark and Rose Marie (Horton) Lee on November 17, 1952, in Elkhart, Kansas.
Mark was a cowboy, saddle maker, leather and wood crafter. He married Gena Turner on September 21, 1984. Mark loved to read and be outdoors. You could find him driving the countryside, riding horses, or arrowhead hunting with his faithful companion, Blue.
Mark is survived by two sons, Zach Lee and wife Michelle of Boulder, Colorado, and Lance Lee and wife Ashley of Garden City, Kansas; daughter, Stevi James and husband Adam of Boise City, Oklahoma; brothers, Galen Lee and wife Vienna of Elkhart, and Rick Lee of Elkhart; sister, Marcala Arheart and husband Robert of Elkhart; four grandchildren, Evan, Brylee, and Dexter Lee, and Liv James; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and wife Gena in 2010.
Memorial graveside service will be 10:30 AM Saturday, October 12, 2019, at Elkhart Cemetery with Jess Lee officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Morton County Salvation Army or donor’s choice in care of Garnand Funeral Home, PO Box 854, Elkhart, KS 67950.
