Marjorie May “Babe” Keltner, died February 20, 2017, at the Lone Tree Retirement Center, Meade.
She was born May 12, 1927, to James and Martha (Sawyer) Howell in Meade, Kansas.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church and Elsie Chapel EHU. She enjoyed family, her pets, and helping Howard on the farm,
On August 26, 2946, she married Howard Keltner in Meade. He precedes her in death on December 1, 2004.
She is survived by three sons, Mike and wife Barb of Medicine Lodge, Kansas, Jim and wife Sharon of Minneola, Kansas, and Kenny and wife Robyn of Greely, Colorado; a daughter Kayleen Dakan and husband Mike of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; a brother, Dick Howell and wife Ann of Liberal, Kansas; a sister Laverta DeLong of Meade; ten grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by parents; her husband; a sister, Nadine Stanley; and a son Bob Keltner.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 25, 2017, at the United Methodist Church, Meade. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Friday to sign the guest register at Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade. The casket will remain closed. Interment will follow in the Graceland Cemetery, Meade.
The family would welcome memorials to the Lone Tree Retirement Center in care of the funeral home.
