Marikate (Light) Harvey

Marikate (Light) Harvey, 63, passed away Monday, December 20, 2021, at Stevens County Hospital, Hugoton, Kansas.
The daughter of Paul and Beulah (Krein) Light was born May 17, 1958, in Dodge City, Kansas.
Marikate and Michael Bond were married on September 10, 1978. To this union were two children, Christopher (Kit) and Stephanie. They were later divorced.
Later Marikate and Danny William Harvey were married October 14, 1995, at Taos, New Mexico. He preceded in death November 1, 2021.
Marikate was a member of the Rolla United Methodist Church, Rolla. Marikate loved to study her Bible. She grew up in Rolla and graduated from Rolla High School.
Marikate loved and enjoyed her family. Her hobbies were reading, watching OSU and Kansas City Chiefs football.
Survivors include a son, Christopher (Kit) Bond and wife Andrea, Wichita, Kansas; a daughter, Stephanie Bond, Hugoton, Kansas; step-son, Tyson (Ty) Harvey and wife Jenna of Anacortes, WA; Daughter, Kiley (Harvey) Collins and husband Aaron of San Diego, CA; a brother, Charles Light, a sister, Lorena Light, both of Rolla, Kansas; grandchildren, three, Kyra Gifford and husband Kayden, Moscow, Kansas, Katie Kalahi, Hugoton, Kansas, Evie Bond, Wichita great grandson, Kaleia Gifford, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial has been established Marikate Harvey Memorial Fund. Memorials may be mailed to Robson Funeral Home, PO Box 236, Hugoton, Kansas 67951.
Funeral Service was held on Monday, December 27, 2021, 1 PM at Rolla United Methodist Church, Rolla, Kansas. Burial will follow at Rolla Cemetery.
Viewing was held on Sunday, December 26, 2021, 2 PM to 6 PM at Robson Funeral Home, Hugoton, Kansas.
