Maria Isabel Macias De Maldonado, 67, of Liberal, passed away on Sunday March 23, 2025 at her home.

She was born on September 30, 1957 to Rafael Macias Ramos and Celsa Caraveo Gonzalez at Cd. Cuahutemoc, Chihuahua Mexico.

On January 16, 1971 she married Roberto Maldonado Villegas at Cd. Cuahutemoc, Chih. Mexico. He preceded her in death on January 29, 2025.

Before retiring, Maria had worked in Nutritional Services for USD480 for 20 years working at Liberal High School, South Middle School, and Bright Start. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and Starbuck Coffee. Maria also looked forward to shopping, family gatherings and trips to Mexico. She adored her family and grandchildren.

Maria is survived by her Three Sons, Jose (Marisol) Maldonado of Liberal, KS, Roberto Carlos (Irene) Maldonado of Liberal, KS, Javier Andres (Lupe) Maldonado of Fort Worth, Tx; Three Daughters, Irene (Bruno) de Marquez of Mexico, Isabel (Nick) Perez of Liberal, KS, Celsa Gabriela Gerardo) Perez of Liberal, KS; Brother, Rafael Macias of Fort. Worth, TX; Two Sisters, Adela Torres of Arlington, TX, Guadalupe Macias de Bustillos of Cd. Chauthtemoc, Chihuahua; 13 Grandchildren, 22 Great-Grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her Parents, Rafael Macias Ramos and Celsa Caraveo Gonzalez, Four Brothers, Matilde Macias, Cayetano Macias, Elias Macias, and Refugio Macias; Sister, Concepcion Macias de Trevizo, and Three Grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 25, 2025, 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm, followed by a Rosary Service at the Miller Mortuary Chapel.

Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, 10:00 am at St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Cremation will take place following.
