Mari Nava

Mari Carmen (Franco) Nava, age 36, died June 6, 2014 in Beaver, Oklahoma.She was born December 1, 1977 in Elkhart, Kansas the daughter of Carmen Franco and Josefina (Alvarado) Franco.Mari grew up in New Mexico and moved to Elkhart in 2007. After receiving her education, she married and became a proud mother. Mari was a devoted mother, daughter and sister. She was a good listener and good friend. Mari enjoyed cooking, and attended St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Elkhart.Survivors include: her sons, Jaime Franco of Elkhart, Kansas, Carlos Martinezof Hagerman, New Mexico, Jorge Martinez of Elkhart, Kansas, daughter, Emilie Franco of Elkhart, Kansas; father, Carmen Franco of Hobbs, New Mexico; mother, Josefina Franco of Artesia, New Mexico; brothers, Emilio of Roswell, New Mexico, George of Amarillo, Texas, Efrain of Pampa, Texas, Alex of Pampa, Texas, and Fernando of Guymon, Oklahoma; sisters, Maria Calderon of El Paso, Texas, Lucima Martinez of Artesia, New Mexico, and Ana Franco of Elkhart, Kansas; and grandfather, Eluterio Alvarado of Guymon, Oklahoma.Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Elkhart with Reverend Francis Khoi Nguyen officiating. Interment will follow at the Elkhart Cemetery. Friends may call Friday, June 13, 2014 from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM at Garnand Funeral Home in Elkhart, Kansas.
