Margery A. Secrest

Margery A. Secrest, age 93, passed away Saturday evening, February 25, 2023, at the Fowler Residential Care Center, Fowler, Kansas.

She was born December 30, 1929, at Plevna, Kansas, the daughter of Ralph Edward and Grace Pearl (O’Bleness) Secrest. As a young girl, she attended school at rural Nickerson, Kansas, graduating from Sterling High School. A resident of Fowler since 2011, she was a homemaker and a truck driver.

She was a member of the Fowler Christian Church and a former 4-H instructor. She enjoyed sewing, traveling, camping, and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by two sons, Douglas Pitzer and wife Susan of Burrton, Kansas, and Ken Pitzer and wife Karen of Russell, Kansas; a daughter Cindy Grace Ann Park and husband Steve of Hutchinson, Kansas; eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by a son, John Robert Lamb II; her parents; a brother, Charles Secrest; and two sisters, Joyce Taylor and Virginia Boggs.

In accordance to her request, cremation has taken place. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at the Fowler Cemetery, Fowler.

The family would welcome memorials to the Fowler Christian Church in care of Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade, Kansas.
