Margaret “Pat” Brown

Margaret “Pat” Brown 84 died, Sunday, March 30, 2014 at her home in
Liberal, KS.

She was born March 25, 1930 in St. Joseph, Missouri the daughter of
Gustave Adolph and Zella Fauntelle (Bruce) Aschman. She graduated in
1948 from Lyons High School in Lyons, KS. In 1951 she received her
Registered Nurse Diploma from St. Francis School of Nursing in Wichita,
KS. She was employed as a registered nurse working in Wichita and
Liberal, KS . She has been a resident of Liberal for the past 60 years.

She was a previous member of the St. Andrew Episcopal Church, the Alter
Guild and Vestry Board of the church, Beta Sigma Phi and PEO. She was
also past member and chairman of the March of Dimes, Bridge Club, SWMC
Auxiliary and the Seward County Election Board.

On April 5, 1953 she married J. Courtney Brown in Clayton, New Mexico.
He survives.

Alan Dale Brown and wife Jolene Liberal, KS

1 Daughter Shelly Kay Welch and husband Ladd Wichita, KS

8 Grandchildren Ashley Kappelmann, Jessica Morrow, Britt Short, Todd
Brown, Brandon Brown, Lauren Edwards, Natalie Lowry, Austin Welch.

15 Great Grandchildren Brady Kappelmann, J. Brooks Kappelmann, Bren
Kappelmann, Halle Morrow, Chole Morrow, Hudson Brown, Parker Brown,
Quinn Brown, Zoe Brown, Brooklyn Short, Peyton Short, McKenna Short, Ivy
Brown, Paisley Brown and Kai Brown.

She is preceded in death by her parents, step mother Kathryn Aschman,
and two Sisters Dorothy Hajovsky and Barbara Aschman Sadkin.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, April 5, 2014 at the
First Southern Baptist Church with Dr. Jack Jacob presiding. Burial will
be held in Liberal Cemetery.

Visitation time will be held from 9am to 8pm Friday at Brenneman Funeral
Home.

In lieu of flowers and plants memorial contributions can be sent to the
Southern Baptist Disaster Relief Fund USA in care of Brenneman Funeral
Home 1212 W. 2nd Liberal, KS 67901.
