Margaret E. Jordan, age 93, passed away early Wednesday morning, July 21, 2021, at the Shattuck Nursing Center, Shattuck, Oklahoma.
She was born August 17, 1927, in rural Meade County, near Fowler, Kansas, the daughter of Walter O. and Olive E. (Nelson) Chipman. As a young girl she attended the Fowler school system, graduating from Fowler High School in 1945. A long time resident of Fowler, she was a homemaker.
On December 22, 1949, she married Fred Jordan, Jr. at St. John, Kansas. He passed away on June 17, 2002.
Survivors include a son, Fred Owen Jordan of Shattuck, Oklahoma; a granddaughter, Jamie Burden and husband Ed of Hooker, Oklahoma; a grandson, Ray Jordan of Shattuck, Oklahoma; great-grandchildren, Bryce Burden and Fiance of Gage, Oklahoma, Dakota Burden and Fiance of Shattuck, Oklahoma, and Jordan Freeman and husband of Texhoma, Texas; three step-grandsons; seven step-great-grandchildren; former, but forever loved and accepted daughter-in-law, Trisha Hester of Kincaid, Kansas; much loved sister-in-laws, Jeanette Klein and family of Kismet, Kansas, and Dorothy Jordan and family of Neosho, Missouri.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Fred on June 17, 2002, and her parents.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 24, 2021, at the Fowler Cemetery, Fowler, Kansas.
