Margaret Alice Hall, age 89, of Elkhart, Kansas, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Spring Hill Care and Rehab in Spring Hill, Kansas, on Saturday, July 16, 2022.
She was born February 20, 1933, in Eureka, Kansas, and the daughter of Emmet L. Hall and Masil E. (McDaniel) Hall. She lived most of her life in Elkhart with her husband and children.
On November 7, 1955, Margaret married Carl Hall and raised three sons and three daughters. She was a self-taught artist. She enjoyed painting portraits with oils, and painted all her grandkids. She took some of her art work to the Morton County Fair and Kansas State Fair in Hutchinson. She has a mural displayed at the Morton County Museum. She loved farm life and enjoyed being a farmer’s wife. Many times her husband would say, “Margaret is the best farm hand I have ever had”.
Survivors include her children, Donna Heincker and husband Dwight of Spring Hill, Sam Hall of Liberal, Tom Hall and wife Debra of Sylvia, and Patrick Hall and girlfriend Pam of Topeka; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, Emmet and Masil Hall; husband, Carl Hall; brothers, Norman Hall, Calvin Hall, and Ricky Hall; sisters, Sharon Chansler, and Bobbie Dunsworth; infant son, James LaDuke Hall; daughters, Peggy Hall and Carla Nelson; and grandchildren, Carl Hall and Maggie Hall.
Funeral service will be Thursday, July 21, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Garnand Funeral Home Chapel in Elkhart, Kansas, with Pastor Jim Cunningham officiating. Interment will follow at the Elkhart Cemetery. Friends may visit on Thursday, July 21, 2022, from 1:00 pm until service time at Garnand Funeral Home in Elkhart, Kansas.
