Margaret A. Schwartz 68, died Sunday, July 7, 2013 at Morton County Hospital, Elkhart, Kansas. She was born September, 7, 1944 at Wauseon, Ohio the daughter of Lawrence and Leona (Nichols) Netcher.
Margaret grew up in Ohio and Michigan and graduated high school at Blissfield, Michigan. A resident of Elkhart, Kansas since 1988, she graduated from Seward County Community College and worked at Morton County Care Center as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She enjoyed working on crafts, crocheting, knitting, ceramics, quilting and making doll clothing. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Margaret married George Schwartz on October 4, 1968 in Toledo, Ohio, he survives.
Other survivors include four sons; Keith Neuman and wife Rhonda of Elkhart, Kansas, Larry Neuman and wife April of Liberal, Kansas, Edward Schwartz and wife Carlie of Angels Camp, California, and Douglas Schwartz and wife Kayla of Amarillo, Texas. One daughter Merry Clinkingbeard and husband Sam of Elkhart, Kansas. Three brothers John Netcher, Sr, Jim Netcher and Charles Netcher all of Wauseon, Ohio. Five sisters Diana West, Rosemary Linehan, Marilynn Netcher, Kathy Netcher all of Wauseon, Ohio, and Janice Dashner of Blissfield, Michigan. 22 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Margaret is preceded in death by her parents and one son Michael Neuman.
Memorial service will be held Thursday, July 11, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Christian Church, Elkhart, KS with Glen Conaway presiding. Graveside service will follow at the Elkhart Cemetery, Elkhart, KS. The family suggests memorials be given to Sunlight Broadcasting in care of Garnand Funeral Home, PO Box 854, Elkhart, KS 67950.
