Mae A. Frederick, 77, passed away early Sunday morning, October 30, 2016, at 6 am, the Meade District Hospital, Meade, Kansas.
 
She was born October 30, 1939, at Ft. Scott, Kansas, the daughter of Charlie O. and Marie (Ramsey) Rader.  As a young girl she attended the Buffalo, Oklahoma, school system, graduating from Buffalo High School.  A long time resident of Meade County, she was a telephone operator, worked part-time for the Plains Co-Op, and the Dodge City Public School System.
 
She attended the Emmanuel Mennonite Church and the Beam Senior Center and had a passion for crafts.
 
She married Elvit Frederick and were married for 30 years..  He precedes her in death on January 5, 1988. She is preceded in death by two sons, Charlie L. Frederick and Jeffrey T. Frederick; a brother, Robert L. Rader; and two sisters, Clara R. Riemann and Charlene M. Rader.
 
 
Survivors include a daughter, Wynota Beth Fergeson and husband David of Kingsport, TN; a granddaughter, Margaret Houk and husband Travis; a great-granddaughter, Caroline Mackenzie (Carlie) Houk; a brother, Charlie William Rader of Greenfield, TX; a sister Betty J. Vaughn of Woodward, OK; and numerous nieces and nephews.
 
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 7, 2017, at Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade.  Cremation has taken place.  Inurnment will follow in the Plains Cemetery, Plains.
 
The family would welcome memorials to the Beam Senior Center in care of the funeral home.
