Mac Apsley

Macavin Kent “Mac” Apsley, 53, died Sunday, April 16, 2023, at his home in El Dorado, Kansas.

He was born on June 27, 1969, in Liberal, Kansas, the son of Johnny and Christie Apsley. Mac was raised in the Liberal area, graduating from Liberal High School in 1987 and later from Seward County Community College.

Shortly after graduating from college Mac enlisted in the U.S. Army and was fully discharged in 2016 with the rank of 2nd Lieutenant. Other than traveling with the military, most of Mac’s life was spent living in Liberal or El Dorado, Kansas.

The most important thing in his life were his kids, Victoria Apsley of El Dorado, Kathryn Parker of Christchurch, New Zealand, Grant Apsley of Wichita, and Isabella Apsley of Howard, Kansas, and grandkids, Carter and Truly. Mac is also survived by his father Johnny Apsley and brother Jeramy Apsley both of El Dorado.

He is preceded in death by his mother.

Military Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, May 2nd, 2023, at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery in Winfield, Kansas.
