Mabel Pauline Foster

Mabel Pauline Foster 93, died Monday, October 19, 2015 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, KS.
She was born April 2, 1922 in Beaver County, OK the daughter of Henry and Vinny (Casady) Lubbers. She graduated in 1940 from Turpin High School in Turpin, OK. She was a lifetime resident of Turpin, OK.
She was a member of the Turpin United Methodist Church and was head of the kitchen committee at the church for many years. She enjoyed reading and was an avid OU fan and loved to be with her husband Red doing whatever he was doing. She also was a member of the Turpin Rebecca Lodge of Oklahoma and was a past state president of the state assembly.

On June 15, 1940 she married Olen “Red” Foster in Woodward, OK. He died April 26, 1996.

Survivors include:

3 sons Bill Foster and wife Johnita Turpin, OK
Bruce Foster and wife Marcia Turpin, OK
Stan Foster and wife Jan Turpin, OK

9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren 3 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by infant daughter Roberta, parents and one brother and two sisters.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday at the Turpin United Methodist Church with Pastor Todd Bergman presiding. A private family burial will be held at Liberal Cemetery.

Visitation will be 10am to 8 pm Thursday at Brenneman Funeral Home.
