Lynn Fowler

Lynn Fowler, age 80, of Elkhart, Kansas, died Friday, March 28, 2014 at his home in Elkhart. He was born June 18, 1933 in rural Morton County, Kansas, the son of Glenn and Susie (Shrauner) Fowler.

Lynn grew up in Morton County and graduated from Elkhart High School. On February 1, 1953, he married Jo Ann White in Elkhart. Lynn farmed and worked as a pumper for Panhandle Eastern from 1955-1986. Lynn continued to farm and was a co-owner in Elkhart Lumber. He enjoyed meeting the customers and having coffee with his friends. Lynn loved spending time with his grandchildren and cattle. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Elkhart.

Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann of their home; sons, Eddie Fowler and wife Ruth, Kent Fowler and wife Kathryn; daughters, Rhonda Haar and husband Bill, Tonnah Perkins and husband Tim; sister, Freda Murray-Tucker all of Elkhart, Kansas; 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Lynn is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Keith and Kenneth.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, March 31, 2014 at the Church of the Nazarene in Elkhart, Kansas with Pastor Keith Davis officiating. Interment will follow at the Elkhart Cemetery in Elkhart, Kansas. Friends may call from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Sunday, March 30, 2014 at Garnand Funeral Home in Elkhart, Kansas.
