Luther Fernando Garcia Jr. 58, died Sunday, September 15, 2013 at his home in Liberal, KS.

He was born July 1, 1955 at Liberal, KS, the son of Luther Garcia Sr. and Esther Olivas

Fernando attended Liberal schools. He was a Handyman for 30+ years. Luther enjoyed Drawing, his Nephews and Nieces and Playing Pool.

He is survived by 1 Daughter – Alta Valles of Leavenworth, KS; 3 Brothers – Anthony Garcia and wife Veronica of Liberal, KS, Emilio Olivas Jr. of Liberal, KS, Robert Olivas and wife Dunia of Phoenix, AZ; 5 Sisters – Genevieve Rodriquez and husband Fransisco of Liberal, KS, Adela Vargas and husband Raul of Casa Grande, AZ, Lucia Applebee and husband Michael of Liberal, KS, Deborah Garcia Castillo of Liberal, KS, Teresa Banuelos and husband Rogelio of Derby, KS; step-father – Emilio Olivas Sr. of Liberal, KS; 5 Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by 1 Brother Abraham B. Garcia and Mother Esther Olivas.

Visitation will be 1:00 pm – 5:30 pm Wednesday September 18th at Miller Mortuary.

Rosary Service will be 7:00 pm Wednesday September 18th at St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Liberal, KS

Funeral Mass will be 2:00 pm Thursday September 19th at St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with Fr. James P Dieker officiating. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens.

The family suggests memorials to the St. Catherine’s Hospice in care of Miller Mortuary.
