Lupe Segovia Duran

Lupe Segovia Duran, age 83, died on Friday, October 18, 2024, at her residence in Liberal, Kansas.

She was born on July 25, 1941, in Delicias, Chihuahua, Mexico to Jose Duran and Evarista Sigala.

Lupe was united in marriage to Carlos Segovia on April 8, 1965, in Delicias, Chihuahua, Mexico. They were married for 58 years until his death on June 17, 2023.

Lupe’s most cherished moments were spent with her family and close friends. She enjoyed caring and nurturing her loved ones more than anything. She was an amazing mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother and loyal friend. One of her greatest pleasures was cooking for her family and friends. She also loved caring for her special precious pets, especially “Tiny” and her beloved Misty, plants and flowers, and her amazing church family. She was a selfless generous soul who was always willing to give and help those in need. Her love for God and continued Faith showed through her acts of kindness for others frequently. Lupe was so deeply loved and will be missed beyond measure.

She is survived by her 3 sons, Carlos Adrian Segovia his wife, Zan of Tampa, Florida, and

Rolando Segovia and his wife, Teresa of Tulsa, Oklahoma

Juan Manuel Segovia and his wife, Sadie of Overland Park, Kansas

Daughter, Nora Elizabeth Segovia and her husband Jorge Mendez of Liberal, Kansas,

Visitation will be 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Thursday, October 24, 2024, at the Hornung Family Funeral Home, 1212 W 2nd Street, Liberal, Kansas.

Funeral Services will be 12:00 PM, Friday, October 25, 2024, at the Hornung Family Funeral Home Chapel with Silvia Cardoza presiding.

An interment will at Restlawn Cemetery.
