Lula Bell Watson, 86, of Turpin, OK passed away on Sunday January 28, 2024 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, KS.

She was born on January 26, 1938 to William and Iva (Harrison) Ingland at Liberal, KS.

On March 2, 1957 she married Russell Watson at Liberal, KS; he preceded her in death.

She was a graduate of Liberal High School; class of 1956. Lula worked with Southwestern Bell and Southwest Medical Center as a Switchboard Operator. She later went to work in Dry Cleaning and owned Mahonney Dry Cleaners for 20 plus years. After selling the business she went to work with Thompson Dry Cleaners. Lula enjoyed coloring, sewing, gardening, and crocheting. She especially loved children and baby sit for many years. She attended the Friends Church in Liberal.

Lula is survived by her Son, Gary D Watson of Texhoma, TX; Daughter, Karia Lynn Groves of Liberal, KS; Two Grandsons, Terry Farmer and wife Maddison of Turpin, OK, Micheal Farmer and wife Ashley of Joppa, AL; three great grandchildren, James, Aria, and Teagan.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, Brother, Marvin Leroy Ingland, two Sisters, Wanda Faye Ingland and Donna Mossier.

Viewing will be held Thursday, February 1, 2024, 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Miller Mortuary, Liberal, Kansas.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024, 10:00 am at the Friends Church, with Pastor Jeff Nagale, officiating.

Burial will take place in the Restlawn Cemetery .

Memorials are suggested to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in care of Miller Mortuary PO Box 826 Liberal, KS 67905-0826.
