Lucreta Russett: UPDATE

Lucreta Russett, age 69, of Ulysses, Kansas died Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Rose Medical Center in Denver, Colorado. She was born November 27, 1942 in Greenwood, Arkansas, the daughter of Rellis Ray and Eva (Primm) Martin.
Lucreta graduated from Grant County Rural High School in 1960. She married Wayne Russett on June 26, 1960 in Ulysses, Kansas. Lucreta worked for Gibson’s Discount Center for 22 years, Alco four years and retired as an assistant manager. She attended the Church of the Nazarene. Lucreta enjoyed quilting for her grandkids, scrapbooking, embroidering, reading and shopping.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne, of the home; son, David Russett of Ulysses, Kansas; daughters, Brenda Russett of Ulysses, Kansas, Debbie Theye and husband Densel of Liberal, Kansas, Kim Leiker of Hays, Kansas, Kari Geerdes and husband Vic of Hays, Kansas; brothers, Tommy Martin and wife Bessie of Oxford, Kansas, Rodney Martin and Shelly of Wichita, Kansas; sister, Joyce Griffith of Moscow, Kansas; nine grandchildren, Shelley, D.J., Jaden, Amanda, Devin, Larissa, Taylor, Madison, Morgan; and five great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and one great grandson.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Church of the Nazarene in Ulysses, Kansas with Reverend Richard Stafford officiating. Interment will follow at the Ulysses Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday, October 17, 2012 from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM at Garnand Funeral Home in Ulysses.
